Thanks to the Internet, thanks to WordPress, thank to my laptop, and thanks to my mom and dad, because without them, I’m not here, and if I’m not here, I will not be writing this post that I’m writing right now.

Like my parents house in Montalban, Rizal, we just  make use of those huge antenas just to receive a better reception in order to watch our favorite TV programs. Unfortunately, we can only get channel 2 (ABS-CBN) or 7(GMA) on a certain time. I’ve been curious about direct satellite TV or these Direct Satellite TV if it can be an answer in our problem in watching our fave soap operas and movies. As I’ve learned, it can offer a wide array of channels in their package, which can compete on what home cable providers can offer. They have certain channel packages that can suit what you want or what interests you. It also gives a better picture quality so you dont have to worry in adjusting your TV antennas everytime you are watching.  What you just need is  some kind of a  mini satellite dish and set-top box provided by companies offering this kind of service and voila! An enjoyable watching experience are all yours!

There are this broadcast centers which transmits signals which the Satellite receives and then it transmits it again to different houses or establishments which have some sort of receiver which can be as I’ve mentioned a mini satellite dish of some sort. We should also have some kind of a modem that will transform those signals into different channels in our television. Kinda techy huh?!

I’ll better check  this Direct TV or Satellite Directv thing and I bet my mom, a certified TV fanatic will surely love!!!

Does anyone of you tried this one? Can you share your experiences on using it?

I’m a really big fan of watching TV series instead of those telenovelas/koreanovelas which have been a real frenzy of other people nowadays. Im super busy and my jampacked schedule wont permit me na sumubaybay sa mga madugo/madramang eksena nila. So I usually try yung mga series wherein eventhough you havent watched the last episode you wont still be lost on the flow of the story.

When I was in highschool to college and up until now, I am a big fan of CSI, from Las Vegas, Miami to New York. I like this one cause you also have to think who the real suspect is. When I was in high school I even dreamt of being a Forensic Scientist someday because of the big influence of those programs. (Tapang tapangan lang kasi takot naman talaga ako sa blood).

Now, because of the popularity of the fictional characters like vampires, wolves, emo kids (wala lang, hehehe), and the Twilight movie, I’ve been hooked in watching a new series in HBO.

Im so thrilled with this American series, “True Blood”. Vampires and human coexist here. The series revolves around Sookie Stackhouse played by Anna Paguin, a waitress which has a power of mental telephaty who falls in love with a vampire name Bill Compton. HBO is now actually running the Season 2 of it.

Its the time when the couple will share their vow, their vow that they will be together and no matter what happens they will stick beside each other, this covers everything from if one of them gets sick to if they argue about something silly like cheekybingo. They are promising to fight for what they have and overcome any difficulties.

The couple tend to do a lot of preparations which usually takes a couple of months, from the clothes they will wear, rings,  church, reception, food, flowers and most especially who will compose your entourage and guests; people that will take part on this wonderful day.

I saw a clip of Jill and Kevin’s Entrance Dance for their wedding. You can feel the excitement and happiness of all the people who took part. Knowing na napapayag nila ang entourage nila na gawen yun, you can feel that they really love the groom and the bride. It is very inspiring and most of the bride and groom-to-be know are thinking how to make their wedding ceremony a unique and a very memorable one.Because their video has been phenomenal, they tried to direct it in a good cause, people can donate to them and Sheila Wellstone Institute will benefit from it. Sheila Wellstone is an advocate, organizer, and national champion in the effort to end domestic violence in the community.

When I am in Toy Kingdom I’ve seen a lot of things sold with Hannah Montana or High School Musical characters. I happened to watch some episodes of those cause my little brother (yes, he’s a guy.. ) is really a fan of those Disney programs. I even seen him belting out those Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana and High School Musical songs.

Locally, I think we still have this, those notebooks with actress or actors in the cover. When I was in gradeschool (gradeschool ba??), I can see pa nga those notebooks with Jolina, Juday and Wowie faces on the cover, harharhar . Last time I was in the bookstore, Dyesebel, Dyosa, Kapitan Boom and Super Inggo are some of the famous faces on different school supplies.

So actually back on my topic based on my title, I happened to see these cool chocolate candies inspired by Twilight/New Moon characters Bella, Edward and Jacob. I can’t think of candies or food nating mga Pinoy na based sa naging famous na movie or tv program natin. Can you think of one?

Love this music video! Actually got an idea of this song when one of my officemates made a video presentation for our General Assembly. The video presentation he made was really funny and it was inspired by Wonder Girls “Nobody” music video. Maybe I’ll post the video here next time. I was not able to participate in the actual shoot of our presentation since I am on shift, so I just submitted my picture and he made it as if I am singing, as if my mouth is moving. He is really good in video editing.

I was surfing the net when one of my officemates told me a new site . One of the articles about Vodafone ads with the characters called Zoo Zoo’s caught my attention. Characters on the video are actually not animated ones. They are real people who just wore a costume or body suits.  There is an illusion that it is an animation but actually its not. The aspects on how the characters will move, talk and emote has been a crucial part of this project.

But, the entrepreneurial side of me still wants to come out. There is this strange excitement just thinking I will be starting up my very own biz. I think this is the perfect time.

Eventhough just a sideline or something that will make me feel occupied will do since I still have my regular job (which takes up 8++ hours a day of my life, I don’t have ADHD po, active lang talaga and feeling bored).

Here is my List:

1. Online Store – Maximize the power of your internet! You can put up your online shop and sell stuff. I’ve tried it before using my Multiply account. One account is like a fashion store selling clothes and accessories. Another one is a souvenir shop. Fortunately, I had a lot of clients for my souvenir shop even though I’m not checking my site regularly. People are still calling or texting me up for a good souvenir for different occasions. Unfortunately for my fashion online store, a small number of customers only visits my site since there is a lot of competitions.

2. Ebay/Auction Selling – This is also a good way to sell stuff. People bid for your goods so you tend to profit much more from what you expected. You can even sell preloved items. hehehe!

3. Gadgets – My friend thought about this since we were Engineering grads and he feels really techy. He wants to sell PCs, laptops, digicams, LCD TVs, etc. But how much is the capital? Is this really in-demand now that we are experiencing a global crisis..

4. Blogging – (Kareerin ko ba itech?) If you’re into writing this is the best. Register on Adsense and other sites that pay you to blog and voila! You can earn a lot!

5. Herbal Medicines – *LOL* (nalihis ba?) Unique? Idea came from my amazement on the different commercials about this type of medicines? From brains to bones ang siste. Liveraide (liver), Optein (eyes), MemoPlus (brain); Arthro (for Bones ba ito? hehehe);Methathione (skin); Diabet; 4G, Marvel Taheebo. Ang dame na nila, and after the commercial you’ll see something like “No approved therapeutic claims.”

6. Tutorial Services or Teaching Stint in a University – I just feel like teaching, *LOL* I want to recall my subjects during college. When I was in College, super purga ako sa dame ng Math subjects ko, but now I’m working just a simple addition and subtraction will do Sort of missing my student life and envious to some of my friends who are now professors in some universities I can’t believe that one of naughty and a real troublemaker classmate before is now a professor!!!

Do you think I make sense? Hope I can really think of something that suits me.
